The end, or just the beginning?

Ahh, nearly the end of my vacation. *sniffle* It seems as though it only just begun.

I took the week off from work to have my little brother come down to visit from Maine. It's been a good week, but it just seems like it's gone by too fast. And boy is my brother grown up. He's not taking much to the "little brother" status and all that goes into it. I think I learned that quick when we were out to dinner Monday nite and I offered to cut his steak when he was having trouble doing so. His response? "I don't need my sister to cut my meat for me." *sigh*

Hubby and I will be driving back to Maine tomorrow, where we'll spend the nite and visit with more family before hitting the road again on Sunday to come back home.

There's a local fair that we'll take my brother and my sister's nephews to, if the weather cooperates. And I'm sure I'll be spending lots of time holding and snuggling, squeezing and loving on this little guy:

and laughing and giggling and loving on this little guy too:

And then back to work on Monday...blah, blah, and blah.

I have lots of plans for next week. I've recently reopened an etsy shop, Got Vintage. I've already had three sales, without any sales announcement of any kind, which is quite neat. And gosh, the thrill of discovering you've made your first sale!...I screamed the news to my dh in the other room, shared it with my brother, and then called my mother-in-law to let her know. lol You'd think I was a little excited, no? I've really been appreciating vintage and antique items over the last year, and have thoroughly enjoyed the search for unique and beautiful treasures. Got Vintage? allows me to shop for and find those special items and then share them with others. I truly love it. I've got lots of updates planned for next week, with new items to post in the shop. I'll also post an update here when I do.

I also have plans to open another shop, with the focus on handmade items. I'm still working on getting everything in order, but look for an announcement mid-week next week.

And last, but not least, check back next week for a Back-to-School RAK. As the summer winds down, and most of us are gearing up for back to school, I thought it would be nice to have a special scrapbooking giveaway with goodies to help document the memories. Think stamps, tags, paper, and a special something from the new etsy store, soon to be revealed.

So, lots of plans, lots of plans. Just let me get through the weekend, and get back into the swing of things with work, and then I'll be going, going - gone! :) And I want you on the journey with me!

Seriously though, I hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing, joyful weekend.
