We had the most wonderful weekend!
Sunday was Ernie's 29th birthday (yay, we're the same age number again, he can't tease me anymore for being older!), and we awoke to some snow already on the ground, and the beautiful white stuff was still falling. Our first real snowfall!
I was in heaven. And it was a perfect day for getting our Christmas tree. We went with E's family and headed to the tree farm. Afterfreezing our booties off walking around for a bit scoping out the trees, we found the perfect one, and E cut it down. We only had enough time to unload it onto the porch before we needed to head back to the in-laws for Ernie and his brother's birthday celebration. After (too much) homemade pizza, rasberry cheesecake, and icecream cake, we headed back home, and it was early enough still to bring the tree in, set it up, and decorate it. In years past, we've done a silver and blue theme, but this year I wanted something different. I picked up some awesome after-Christmas deals last year and we decorated our tree in red and gold this year. It is quite possibly the prettiest tree we've ever had. (Don't mind the wonky photo). And oh, the smell of the fresh tree just fills the house. Love, love.

:) That baby bump is nowhere near the right size that you will be at the end!
Sounds like a great time!
