On a Mission...

I'm on a mission...and it's not for kashi.

I'm searching for a serving table (aka buffet) for our dining room. Something that will give us more room to put appetizers, snacks, dishes, etc. on when we have company over. Eventually I think we'd like a hutch in there as well, but for now, I'm on the lookout for some additional space for serving guests.

I've searched many different retailers and local stores, but just can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Either the dimensions are too small, or the price is too high, or it's just simply not what I'm looking for.

So, I've taken to perusing craigslist the last few days. And a few things have caught my eye.

How about a table with drop-leaf sides which can be used for even more space? This is described as a butcher-block counter. Bonus storage shelf underneath!

How about this antique? Of course, I'd remove the mirror.

Look past the mess of this room, and do you see the potential in this dresser? Wait, dresser!?, you ask? Why not? Wouldn't this look lovely refinished with some new hardware? Love the curves!

And this one is my absolute fav. (And yes, it's another dresser). Love the drawers, and love, love, love the curves!

Hmm, wonder if I could convince the husband to make the 1.5 hour drive to pick this up?
