I love you too, buddy.

Home sick for the second day in a row. Thankfully, I feel as though I might be coming out of the other end of this bug. I'm tired of being cooped up in the house, especially when the days have been so full of sunshine and warmth lately. My time just feels wasted lying in bed or vegged out on the couch. I did manage to open some windows, so the fresh air has been nice. E's family has convinced me to get out of the house tonite and go over there for some homemade macaroni and cheese (something I've been begging my mother-in-law to make for weeks now). Food is actually starting to appeal to me today, so hopefully I can enjoy a small bit of it.

My sister called me bright and early this morning to tell me that Luke was having a meltdown and "wanted me." When I talked to her this afternoon she told me that he woke up this morning at about 6am, he ran into her bedroom crying and asking for me. She said she couldn't console him for 45 minutes. He was upset when she called and I wasn't awake. When I finally talked to him this afternoon, his first words to me were, "I want to come to your house." Aww. I explained to him that he would be coming in a couple of weeks, which I'm sure seems like forever in kid-life. He listened to me as I talked about the things we would do while he was here, then said, "I love you," before handing the phone back to his mom. Talk about breaking an auntie's heart! My sister said how upset he was this morning broke her heart even.

The fabulously wonderful Lisa Leonard has generously agreed to create one of her beautiful necklaces for Angie. The story this family has endured is both heart-breaking and hopeful, and the Smith family is simply amazing. I invite you to check out Angie's blog if you haven't already. The Smith's address is listed for anyone who would like to send a card or letter. I think these personal notes will help comfort the Smith family in the days and weeks to come.

So thank you, Lisa, for your time and generosity. I think Angie will love it.

Welcome! I'm a fan of Lisa's too. Prayers for Audrey. And God Bless.
